For PBE ‘25, Lurid Lacquer is offering an event-exclusive collection called Weird Girl Summer c. 2004.

I grew up in a small town in NW Illinois that is rich in prairie preserves and natural beauty.

Weird Girl Summer c. 2004 is inspired by all of the (often ridiculous) things that my best friend, my sister, and I did to entertain ourselves on summer break as teenage weirdoes. We wandered the prairie, drove around at night, and made our own fun wherever we were. (For my sister and our BFF, that included going to model home open houses and taking Polaroids of themselves pretending to live there.)

The collection is intended in color story and theme as a lighthearted companion to the Three Oaks Road collection that launched in 2024.
