Last year for Halloween, I made my best friend a 31-day Halloween countdown calendar where the name of each polish built a horror story narrative day-by-day. An Unshakable Sense of Foreboding, Part I is an abridged version of that countdown calendar. 

When I shared a story teaser to promote the countdown calendar, several people on Instagram expressed interest in reading a full version of the story, so I decided to write one.
