Last year for Halloween, I made my best friend Laura (a certified Spooky B*tch) a 31-day Halloween countdown calendar that told a horror story. Gift giving is my love language, and seeing her absolute surprise and delight was one of the highlights of my polish-making career. (The prototypes for many of the Lurid polishes you know and love came from that original calendar!—Wolf Spider Surprise, The Wisdom of Your Armor, Reaching Skyward as You Root, among others.)

I wanted to replicate the joy of creating the calendar for her and decided to release a new version in two parts:

-An Unshakable Sense of Foreboding, Part I (Mystery Countdown Calendar, releasing 8/30) contains the polishes that move the plot of the horror story (thematically dark)
-An Unshakable Sense of Foreboding, Part II (Main September Collection, releasing 9/13) contains the polishes that build ambiance (spooky names, but thematically less dark)
